2020 KBOR Professional Standards Representatives

Monday, February 10, 2020

Kay Young, Todd Realty

The term REALTOR® has come to connote competency, fairness, and high integrity resulting from adherence to a lofty ideal of moral conduct in business relations. (Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice of the National Association of REALTORS®)

KBOR is in the 6th year of partnering with the Indiana Association of REALTORS® (IAR) Professional Standards program as are 90% of the Local Associations in the state.  The Local Associations provide two volunteers each to join a pool of state volunteers to sit on Professional Standards Committees.

Ethics and Arbitrations inquiries start with the Local Association’s AE’s.  If the complainant chooses to go through with the process, the process is turned over to IAR Professional Standards Administrator, Laura Sallie.  Laura utilizes the Local Association pool to put together hearing panels and the proper Professional Standards process proceeds.

Patty Barnes, Prickett’s Properties

KBOR’s two volunteers are Kay Young, Todd Realty and Patty Barnes, Prickett’s Properties.  Kay and Patty attended mandatory annual Professional Standards training on Tuesday February 4th in Carmel, Indiana.  Kay and Patty quietly do their jobs when IAR calls including this annual training.  We would like to thank them for volunteering their time and service by representing KBOR.  If you speak with either of these ladies, please thank them for their stellar representation of KBOR in the Professional Standards process.
