REALTOR® JULIE HALL: Altrusa International Hosts Annual Bingo Fundraiser For Beaman Home
Friday, November 8, 2019
Altrusa International, Warsaw, hosted its 10th annual bingo fundraiser for the Beaman Home on Oct. 17, at the Heritage room in Winona Lake.
As founders of the Beaman Home, Altrusa continues to support Beaman with this annual service project.
Attendees enjoyed catered food, valuable bingo and door prizes graciously donated by the community and an evening of fun. Beaman Home board members and Altrusa volunteers provided information and assistance throughout the evening to assure that everyone had a good time.
Dr. Jennifer Hayes, executive director of the Beaman Home, gave brief remarks noting the need for their services in this community as well as the financial challenges the organization faces due to cuts in government grants.
All proceeds from the Bingo fundraiser benefit programs and services of the Beaman Home, serving the community’s domestic violence victims and their dependent children for over 34 years.
The mission of the Beaman Home is to prove a safe place for victims of domestic violence in the community. Services include shelter, outreach services, emergency transportation, case management and advocacy.
